Answers

What type of paper will my job be printed on?
Creative Print Club uses only premium stock by current industry standards. Postcards, greetings cards, die-cuts and business cards are printed on ultra thick 14-point gloss coated cardstock. Posters are printed on 100lb coated 2 sides, or ultra thick 14-point gloss coated. Prices can vary so please inquire. Brochures, Flyers, Product Sheets, Program Covers are printed on premium sheet gloss coated on both sides, similar thickness to most magazine covers.

What is your turnaround time?
Turnaround times are listed for each product we offer, they vary from 3-5 days. If you require a RUSH order we offer next day or even same day turnaround depending on the product you require.

I have a reprint of an order. What do I have to do?
You simply need to go through the ordering process as before but indicate that you require an exact reprint of an existing order. Once you pick this option your file can be retrieved in our backup files. In any event we are unable to retrieve your file we will contact you within 24hours.

Will my printed job look exactly like it does on my computer monitor?
The colours you see on your monitor are never the exact same as what is printed. This is because all monitors use RGB colours (Red, Green and Blue), while all printing presses use CMYK colours (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and Black). If your image editing program has a CMYK preview you should work in that mode to get it as close as possible. You could also calibrate your monitor to SWOP standards to show the actual colour.

Do I get some type of proof before my job is printed?
Yes you will receive a proof via creativeprintclub’s website at no charge or you may request a hard copy colour proof at a fee of $70.00 (includes shipping). However, do not trust the colours on your monitor for your online proof, Colours on your monitor can vary significantly on a printed piece. The online proof is only meant for a visual tool to proof and is only a rough draft of the final printed piece.

Can you print jobs that are not one of the standard sizes that you offer online?
Yes of course! Just select the product of your desire that’s closest and in customer comments of the order form indicate the requested size. We’ll cut it to your custom size at no additional cost.

How much will my order weigh and how big is the box?
Depending on size and quantity, weight can vary from 10lbs – a Maximum of 55lbs.

What does “4/0”, “4/1”, or “4/4” mean?
4/0 = 4over0, which means full colour printing on the front and nothing on the back
4/1 = 4over1, which means full colour printing on the front and 1 colour (normally black) on the back
4/4 = 4over4, which means full colour printing on both sides

What is a bleed?
A bleed is a term used in the printing industry which defines printing going right to the edge of the paper. Typically we require 1/8 (.125”) of a bleed.

My image is 72 dpi. Is that OK?
No. Most web graphics are 72 dpi which is not a problem. But when it comes to printing, the images or files that you submit must be 300dpi, at final size, to ensure maximum sharpness and quality. Failure to do so my result in pixilation and blurriness.

What resolution should my files be?
Photos must be saved with a resolution of 250-300 dpi. If sending from a digital camera please send the raw jpeg image without resizing, we will resize accordingly. If scanning images make sure the scan is at 175-200 lines per inch (lpi)
